Press Release: Audio Den USA's First Authorized Dealer for Technics Audio
Audio Den is proud to be the first authorized retailer of Technics Audio Brand in the United States, after a six year hiatus in the high-end audio market.
Technics was a premier audio equipment provider in the 1960’s and 1970’s, offering a full line of state of the art amplifiers, speaker systems and turntables. The company made an effort to adapt with the new trends in audio equipment but when CD-ROM became the primary source of data in the late 1980’s, Technics struggled to keep pace.
Technics has completely revamped their entire product line to bring musicians, producers, and consumers an audio experience that is in line with the technologies available in 2015. Technics understands that the internet and broadband data transmission have altered the landscape of audio equipment. Their new product line reflects the company’s rejuvenated commitment to high quality music reproduction.
Michiko Ogawa, a Japanese jazz pianist with an extremely successful career, has been appointed as head of the new Technics Division. She plans to use the new line of products to bring back the emotional engagement in music. Ogawa wants to emphasize accurate digital technology, emotive acoustic technology and noiseless signal technology in all of the products that come to market. The product line is split into two families:
The Reference Class R1 Series is composed of the Network Audio Control Player SU-R1, the Stereo Power Amplifier SE-R1, and the Speaker System SB-R1, all designed to deliver an impassioned and musically accurate listening experience.
The Premium Class C700 Series is composed of the Stereo Integrated Amplifier SU-C700, the Network Audio Player ST-C700, the CD Player SL-C700, and the Speaker System SB-C700.
These new offerings from Technics utilize technologies that provide seamless digital to analog conversion. The result is a sound that is more pleasing, natural and focused than other competing products.
When the United States’ music scene was burgeoning in the 1960’s and 1970’s, Technics was the industry leader. With a new look, updated technologies and a revitalized desire to make music a fully engaging experience, Technics is well on its way to restoring that glory.
About the Author
After a brief hiatus in Washington, DC to attend undergraduate (Go GDub!) and graduate school (Hoya Saxa!), Justin has come on-board full-time to head business development and help drive Audio Den into the future. His focus on organizational management, business processes, and web presence make sure Audio Den is running efficiently, effectively, and always honed in on the client experience. Justin brings a pragmatic and results-driven strategic vision to the team. As an unrelenting “digital native,” Justin also works in the field liaising with our installation and sales team in integrating emerging technologies. As James’s son, it was no coincidence that Justin’s first word was “peaker” (“speakers”). Justin is an avid sailor, diver, and is slowly but surely working on his private pilot’s license. Justin is a certified Control4 Installer and Audio Den's designated OSHA Safety Officer.
